AQ Interactive
Solo developer making an airline tycoon
Hiring: Artist for AQInteractive · The game Takeoff (takeoff.gg) is a multiplayer airline tycoon played on a 3D globe. You buy planes, open offices at airports around the world, load passengers and cargo, and watch your flights cross the globe live. Players join alliances, collect VIP passengers, take part in weekly events and paint their planes in the Hangar. It runs in the browser and as iOS and Android apps. It's built for phones first. The problem The game works, players are playing it. The interface around them looks like any other app: white rounded cards, a stock font, an orange accent. It doesn't have a personality yet. I want someone to give the UI an identity that matches the playful, cozy vibe of the planes and the world. What I'm looking for A style direction: a mood board plus 2–3 key screens redesigned (the main globe view with its overlay, a plane's dispatch panel, and a shop or Hangar screen) so we can agree on the look before building it all. A UI kit in that style: colours, type, buttons, cards, tabs, badges, popups and progress bars, plus a set of about 40 game icons (cash, Miles, fuel, passengers, cargo, XP and so on). Optional, depending on fit: logo/wordmark, app icon, store screenshots. You don't need to write code. I build the UI myself from your designs. Things to know Most players are on phones in portrait, so everything has to work at small sizes and with thumbs. The UI sits on top of a live 3D globe, so panels have to stay readable over a busy background. Light and dark mode are both needed. The premium currency, Miles, is purple and should stay recognisably purple. Format Figma (preferred), with icons as SVG. Budget can either be for the whole job or per hour.
