Code Lyoko Regeneration is an independent, volunteer-driven animated passion project by NeoCentStudios, currently in pre-production across story and character writing, 2D and 3D concept design, and original soundtrack composition. Planned for 4 seasons (around 13 episodes each), the series reimagines the Code Lyoko universe with an entirely new cast while keeping the iconic threat of X.A.N.A. Its deeper mystery traces back to Project V.A.R., a shadowy 1980s virtual reality initiative abandoned by prodigy scientist Jonathan Vale when he discovered its dark military secrets. Fleeing to France to build his own quantum Supercomputer and the virtual world of Lyoko, Jonathan's efforts to protect his family ended in a 1994 tragedy that tore his twin daughters, Emmanuela ("Emma") and Samantha Vale, apart leaving one lost in the shadows of Project V.A.R. and the other with her memories sealed away.
